Every six seconds, somewhere in the world, a child dies from disease caused by not a lack of water, but from a lack of clean water. It is a blessing to be able to help make a difference to the families of Buena Vista, where our school, Gerizim, is located.
The water is made available to the families free of charge. The women come Monday through Friday and take away as much water as they can carry. Many of the families in our area are very poor, and a large majority of the women are single mothers.
Before our clean water ministry, often they would have to choose between purchasing clean water or food. This is yet another open door to minister the love of the Lord Jesus to these needy families. The Bible say, “And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you, he shall not lose his reward.”
